Buying a golf property in Spain: six golf areas on the Costa Blanca and Costa Cálida compared

A home by a golf course can be attractive for its green surroundings, open space and sport. But a golf address does not tell you how you will live there. Some locations feel like a self-contained residential area, others are mainly interesting for their position near a coastal town. The difference between a view of the course, access to the course and membership also matters.

In this guide we compare Las Colinas, La Manga Club, Lomas de Campoamor, Serena Golf, Lo Romero and El Valle from a home buyer's perspective. No ranking with a universal winner, but a comparison on daily life, the golf on offer and questions for a viewing. The suitability advice is editorial judgement; prices, availability and rights must be checked per home.
