Selling your house in Spain: costs, taxes and the right preparation

Selling a house in Spain starts with three questions: what is a defensible sale price, which documents do you need and how much do you actually keep? Especially for Belgian and Dutch non-residents, the difference between the sale price, the money at the notary and the final net proceeds matters. The 3% retention, for example, is an advance on tax, not an extra agency fee.

This guide helps you build the sales file, compare proposals and understand the financial settlement. So you can decide on the basis of your own property and plans.
