New-build or an existing home in Spain: which fits your housing plan?

Buying new-build or an existing home in Spain is not a contest with one winner. New-build can fit when you want modern comfort and can wait for completion. An existing home can be attractive when you want to judge an established location and use the house sooner. The right choice emerges when you put total costs, timing, surroundings and risks side by side.

So do not compare an empty new-build home on a price list with a fully furnished existing home as if the asking price told the whole story. And do not compare an existing home in a prime location with a new project in a completely different area without weighing that difference. This guide helps you assess both options on the same basis.
